Weight Management

Weight Management

We are not here to judge but to advise and support you in making changes in your lifestyle that will benefit your health.

In the UK over half of adults and a third of all children are now classed as being over weight or obese. Being overweight is associated with many health problems such as -

  • type 2 diabetes
  • coronary heart disease and stroke
  • metabolic syndrome
  • certain types of cancer
  • sleep apnea
  • osteoarthritis
  • gallbladder disease
  • fatty liver disease
  • pregnancy complications

There is no single way to lose weight that works for everyone. However, research has shown that people who make permanent changes to their eating habits and increase their physical activity are more successful at losing weight and maintaining it than people who use a 'quick fix' solution.

Our Health Care Assistant can help you with a one-to-one weight management consultation offering advice on healthy eating.
