NHS England have issued guidelines that we should once again be wearing masks in all primary care settings due to an increase in COVID-19 infections in Nottingham. Derby Road Health Centre would respectfully ask that all patients wear a mask when attending the surgery, this is especially important if you have any respiratory related symptoms or conditions, in order to keep patients and healthcare staff safe. Thank you.
Derby Road Health Centre has been a long-standing practice in Lenton for many years and has four GP partners. The doctors are supported by three salaried GP's, two advanced nurse practitioners, five nurses, two healthcare assistants and two phlebotomists who aim to provide the best possible care for patients
Behind the scenes we have a large administrative team who, together with the our management team, ensure that the practice runs smoothly.
Our purpose built premises on Derby Road, accessible via Johnson Road, is located in the Lenton area of Nottingham approximately 20 to 30 minutes walk from Nottingham city centre.
We also have an attached pharmacy on site for filling prescriptions.
The surgery is a training practice, investing in and dedicated to support and train new people who choose this rewarding but challenging career, for more information see below.

GP Training Practice
The practice has been accredited by the East Midlands Deanery as a GP Training Practice. This means the practice usually has two to three trainee Doctors (F2s and Registrars) training to specialise in General Practice. Each doctor will remain with us for a period of 4-6 months. You may therefore be offered an appointment with the Registrar or F2.
As part of their training and assessment they may have to video record some of their consultations and you will be asked if you would be happy to take part. At any time you are able to say "no" to being videotaped and this will not prejudice your consultation in any way.
If you are happy to be videotaped the receptionist will ask you to sign a consent form. At the end of your consultation, if you don't wish the tape to be used, you can state this and the tape will be erased. You may also be asked to complete a questionnaire about your consultation which is optional.
