Purpose of the Group

patient surveyThe group comprises of patients of the surgery who wish to work together with the staff and doctors to help them to meet the needs of patients, to improve services and share an understanding of issues and opportunities. We do this by listening to the views of patients and directly using feedback from our questionnaires and dialogue with the staff.


By working together in a constructive way the Heath Centre we have over the last few years:

  • Increased the number of staff members on the switch board at the busiest times
  • Discussed and improved the appointment system
  • Improved the confidentiality of the check in desk
  • Supported the introduction of the on line appointment booking and repeat prescriptions 
  • Arranged a water cooler in the waiting room
  • Improved the self check-in process
  • Publicity to reduce numbers of DNA'a (did not attend)

We are always happy to accept new members from registered patients, the group meets regularly at the surgery for approximately one hour and minutes from our last meeting are published on the website.
